A Web-based Simulation of Medical Emergencies
for Training High School Students

The SiMErgency II Final Report [PDF] was submitted. The combined findings of the US and Swedish students show improved performance of CPR after training e.g. increased time effectiveness and a higher degree of adherence to the practiced CPR algorithm. The students reported positive experiences of flow during training. Self-efficacy was high for both groups and increased after training.

MAJOR GOAL ACHIEVED
THE SIMERGENCY I CPR TRAINING SYSTEM TESTED WITH MULTI-PLAYERS. In rehearsal for the beta demonstration at the University of Oklahoma HEalth Sciences Center and OU-Tulsa on April 21st, role-playing physicians were quickly able to use OLIVE v.07 with the virtual high school classroom to demonstrate the proper procedure.
